"The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat
Side by side on the table sat;
'Twas half-past twelve, and what do you think!
Nor one nor the other had slept a wink!
The old Dutch clock and the Chinese plate
Appeared to know as sure as fate
There was going to be a terrible spat.
(I was not there; I simply state
What was told to me by the Chinese plate!)"

This was my rendition to the poem "The Duel" (also known as The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat) by Eugene Field.

Personally, I love the out come. Compositionally, my professor loved it, despite that his first words were, "...Now, that's disturbing. Giant dog ass right in my face." It was a good laugh.

The background might need a little tweaking. I'd like so hear some suggestions if you have any. I know I definately want to leave it ambient. The look I was going for though was when a really bad storm is on the way, the sky turns dark but everything around you glows brightly with an unnatural light. I hoped I achieved that.

Anyway, I leave you to enjoy.

oh geez - this is ridiculous, but it's still great XD I really like the color choices, definitely getting the ominousness. I think you've got the atmosphere you were going for, but I think it would help if the light source were more defined - you've got the cast shadows on the ground, but it's not clear what's causing them, or where it's coming from. It would help possibly to put a setting sun in the background, or to change the shadows if you want it to look more overcast. Nice job overall :manhug:
